CKV has supplied all the necessary mobile and truck mounted cranes for  Ekon&Air liquide during the whole project.

For the specific operation; Cold Box assembly that required more carefull and close study and handling. CKV has also gave all engineering services before and at site, prepared the ringing plans and supplied the necessary cranes.

The carnes that took place in this operation were; Liebherr LTM 1800 as the lifting crane and LTM 1220 as the tailing one.

        The assembly of cold box comprised following items; 4 pieces of main process columns, 1 unit of head exchanger and the outer covers of the tower (4 pieces) with a cap above.

The assembly of all pieces required high level accuracy and sensivity. However, the most critical pieces were; one of the process columns (44 m./54 tons) that had to be placed as the second stage (30m. above ground),  heat exchanger to be placed between generator building and process column (6 x 6 m.,16m. / 80 tons ), top pieces of the column cover in two pieces  (8m. dia., 30m. /45 tons).

Before the start of the job, the site was examined and necessary ringing plans were prepared. These plans were then forwarded to both companies and were approved following an evalation meeting.

Due to the selection of correct machines and equipment, the exprience of the site team and the generation of the operation under dicipline led to the placement of the complete pieces to their places within 7 days (considering the weather conditions).

Thus, all the operations have been completed without any failure and accident.
